As most of you know we decided to make a change with our former Controller at the beginning of the year. It was a difficult decision to make, especially with the company growing at such a rapid pace and with so many new projects and processes coming on line. After much thought we decided it was in the best interest of MIII to make the change and committed to making the new hire within three months.
I am excited to announce that Leslie was able to recruit John Cassidy from Teichert and as of late last week John accepted our offer for the position of CFO. John has worked for Teichert for 17 years, of which the last 10 years he spent as controller where he was responsible for five business lines (Aggregate, construction, real estate, equipment and concrete). I have enjoyed all of my meetings with John and know that he will be a great add to the MIII team (as a side note John used the word tenacious three times during our interview process). Being able to recruit someone as talented as John speaks volumes to the quality, culture and reputation of the company you have built. John’s first day will be June 9th.
